Ideal PRF Hair Restoration Candidate

If you are experiencing hair loss, you are basically a good candidate for PRF hair restoration. However, the growth factors, white blood cells, stem cells, and platelets in the PRF work best when awakening dormant hair follicles. These hair follicles are still healthy and capable of growing hair, but they are spending more and more time in a dormant phase. That is why PRP hair restoration works best when the patient notices early hair loss. Clinically, this is known as androgenic alopecia.

PRF works well for both men and women, especially those in the early stages of hair loss. It also is effective for women with traction alopecia, hair thinning caused by hairstyles that pulled the hair to an extreme degree and inhibited hair growth. It is also a good procedure for people whose hair is thinning but who don’t want to resort to taking medications regularly.

Blood is drawn, usually about the same amount as needed for typical lab work. We then place the blood in our PRF centrifuge, which operates at the lower speeds necessary to keep white blood cells and stem cells together with the blood platelets and plasma. The PRF is then ready for injection.

Next, we wash your scalp and apply topical anesthesia to reduce any discomfort. We also take photos of the treatment areas for before and after comparisons.

We then inject the PRF into your scalp in the areas of thinning hair. These are shallow injections made about every one-half inch. We wipe your hair down and the procedure is complete. You can return immediately to your normal activities or work.

Over time, the skin naturally loses some of its firmness and elasticity. Signs of aging such as fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven skin tone may also become more evident. To combat these perceived imperfections and enhance the skin’s natural beauty, vampire facials have increased in popularity.

How Vampire Facials Work

Vampire facials combine microneedling and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) to stimulate the body’s natural healing properties and rejuvenate the skin providing a more youthful glow. Microneedling is a highly controlled process that uses thin needles to create tiny punctures in the skin at varying depths. A cellular response is triggered that fills these channels with new collagen and elastin to tighten skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, acne scars, and other imperfections without any scarring.

Once microneedling is complete, PRF is applied to the skin during the process allowing growth factors to penetrate deeply into the treated skin. PRF is a blood product containing platelets, growth factors, white blood cells, and plasma from your own body. Whole blood is drawn from your arm and slowly spun in a centrifuge to separate red blood cells from the PRF components. These platelets and growth factors stimulate improved tissue repair and wound healing. Results emerge almost immediately and continue to progress over several weeks, creating younger-looking skin with minimal downtime. This procedure is safe for all skin types.
